I started Humber Energy Advisory to help businesses across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire make sense of their energy bills, contracts and renewal options - without pressure or confusion.

I’ve worked in the energy sector for almost a decade, and throughout that time I’ve seen how often businesses are left on extremely high tariffs simply because they don’t understand how the energy market works, don’t realise they’re out of contract, or feel completely overwhelmed by confusing bills and terminology.

What I found most upsetting was speaking to business owners who had unknowingly been paying more than they needed to - not because they’d made poor decisions, but because no one had taken the time to explain their options clearly or act in their best interests. In many cases, businesses trusted that they were being looked after, only to later discover hidden costs, unclear terms, or contracts that didn’t suit them.

Unfortunately, not all energy brokers operate transparently. Commission-driven sales, pressure-led renewals, and limited supplier options can leave businesses feeling misled and stuck. My role has always been to cut through confusion and help businesses understand their energy costs - not sell them a rate.

As and independent energy advisory, I provide clear, honest energy advice for small and medium-sized businesses. Whether it’s reviewing bills, explaining contracts in plain English, challenging unexpected charges, or supporting you through a renewal, my focus is on helping you make informed decisions with confidence.
